    -President George W. Bush

Currently, the United States Government find it enormously difficult to integrate information technology within and between different agencies, departments, and locales.  According to the National Strategy for Homeland Security, the U.S Government is currently spending over $50 billion a year on information technology.  Yet, most federal, state and local entities cannot share information.  Databases within and among agencies are not connected, with critical ramifications for homeland and international security.  For example, CIA terrorist “watch lists” are not cross-referenced with INS border alerts.

Over the years, government agencies have acquired incompatible systems and formats, which cannot communicate with each other efficiently, if at all.  Today, proposals abound in government circles to fix the lack of integration and cohesiveness between various agencies and their systems, but some reworks are expected to take more than five years to implement.

Contrieve’s RevBot technology solves these problems by providing to networks the ability to quickly and easy automate a cost effective process for controlling information flow, and doing so in a secured environment.  A RevBot enabled system permits searches across different platforms, systems and formats.  RevBots do this by creating a new searchable information database within each system, platform or format, similar to the Internet search process.  With RevBots, government database/network searches can cover millions of websites or databases from one centrally administered search engine.  Existing software platforms are maintained, thereby saving the cost of retraining personnel and speeding up the time for the integrations to come online.

Homeland Security and other Government Agencies, both federal and local, can use the core RevBot product communicating with RevBot Receiver.  Additional RevBot Server products that have been adjusted for optimum operation, and a variety of add-on applications are also available.  Because of their user-friendly rules-based methodologies, separate RevBot-based systems that are set up autonomously can later be made to com- municate with each other as well.
